FISCAL SPONSORSHIP
AVP supports emerging and established organizations through our fiscal sponsorship program, which allow mission-aligned projects and organizations to focus on their work and mission while AVP receives grants and tax-deductible donations for fiscal sponsees, manages all administrative tasks, finances, legal responsibilities, and ensures compliance with tax laws and nonprofit regulations. Interested in AVPʻs Fiscal Sponsorship program? Please complete this form to share more about your project with us.
There are two types of fiscal sponsorships that AVP can provide:
Model A
In a Model A fiscal sponsorship, the project operates as part of the fiscal sponsor’s organization. The sponsor manages all finances, legal responsibilities, and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with tax laws and nonprofit regulations. This model is ideal for projects that need full support and don’t want to handle financial or legal complexities on their own.
Model C
In a Model C fiscal sponsorship, the project remains a separate entity, but the fiscal sponsor can receive tax-deductible donations on its behalf and then grant the funds to the project. The project must use the funds for approved charitable purposes but retains control over its operations. This model offers more independence while still benefiting from a nonprofit’s tax-exempt status.
We provide affordable, any-stage support, including:
-
- Formal 501(c)3 fiscal sponsorship that will allow you to function as a recognized nonprofit entity and collect tax-deductible donations and qualify for (c)3-associated grant programs.
- Benefits and payroll services for employees
- Administrative support including: Document handling and filing, Business operations, and Bookkeeping
Fiscal sponsees can expect:
- Quick and clear communication from the AVP team
- Comprehensive understanding of and regular access to organizational finances
- Weekly communication with AVP team
